What To Do In Case Of An Accident

If you are involved in an accident you should:

  1. Get all identifying information from each person involved and any witnesses.
  2. Provide your identifying information as required by law.
  3. Call the Police immediately and ask that a report be written.
  4. You may be required by law to render aid and/or stay at the scene until the authorities arrive.
  5. Photograph the relative position of the vehicles and the scene, if a camera is available, otherwise draw a diagram.
  6. Write down what the other parties have said – this may be very useful later as evidence.
  7. Ask for medical attention immediately if you were injured or think you were injured in the accident and
  8. Call an Attorney immediately for legal advice!
